Free preliminary advice

Up to 20 minutes free advice from one of the keepmedriving lawyers on any road-traffic or motoring law related matter. Simply call the keepmedriving telephone number, quote your membership ID number and we will be happy to assist you. We even provide a print off reminder that you can keep in your wallet so that you can call us whenever a problem arises.

Emergency roadside advice

Emergency telephone roadside advice through a special keepmedriving phone number 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please note that this is intended only for serious, emergency, motoring law related matters and should not be used for non-urgent matters.*

Serious, emergency, motoring-related advice includes:

• Death caused by your dangerous or careless driving
• Dangerous or careless driving resulting in actual injury to a third party
• Driving with excess alcohol or under the influence of drugs

AND be in such circumstances where you have been or are about to be arrested by a police officer in relation to that offence.

Reduced rates on legal advice and representation

All members are entitled to discounted fees when instructing keepmedriving and Richard Nelson Solicitors. Provided by way of redeemable vouchers, these discounts relate both to motoring related advice and representation as well as to more general advice about areas such as employment law.

Members are entitled to either £100 off the cost of any non-court related road-traffic advice or assistance OR £150 off the cost of any road-traffic representation in either a Magistrates or Crown Court provided by keepmedriving or Richard Nelson Solicitors AND are entitled to two vouchers, each of which will give you the right to £50 off the cost of any non-motoring legal assistance, advice or representation provided by Richard Nelson Solicitors in any one membership year.

What to do in an emergency

Often, simply knowing what to do when a problem occurs can help to prevent a potential problem becoming a major problem.

Membership of keepmedriving provides you with access to member-only information packs telling you what to do in certain emergency situations. These packs can be printed off from the web site and kept in your car for you to refer to should the need arise.

Standard letters and information

Many of us find that we have become involved in a motoring related problem that, whilst not warranting help from a solicitor, nevertheless causes us concern in terms of how to respond and what to do.

As a member of keepmedriving you will have access to a number of member-only information packs and draft letters designed to help you to deal more effectively with some of the more minor problems you might encounter – such as parking tickets, licence applications, insurance company claims and a range of other similar matters.
